LEED Credits
Clay is the original way to finish a home, and American Clay is dedicated to maintaining this tradition. Not only do we love the world around us and want to recreate its majesty, we respecting it and want to make our planet, our home, better for everyone.
With our plasters, your walls will stand as long as your home or office does, removing the need for continual repairs typical of other, more artificial products. American Clay is dedicated to recycling and reusing content, maintains low-energy production standards to reduce energy consumption, and sources locally to keep fuel shipment costs low.
To learn how American Clay can contribute up to ten LEED credits, please read our credit explanation and breakdown document.

Surfaces
American Clay Earth Plasters will cover most wall surfaces. However, we do not recommend application on oriented strand board (OSB), tongue and grooved paneling, and other materials prone to expansion and contraction with changes in temperature and moisture. Our plasters are also not recommended as a finish over ceramic tile.
